The Occupational Therapy Practice Framework, or OTPF, is the common language for the field of occupational therapy. It provides practitioners with a domain and process for approaching and treating clients. The OTPF uses a top down approach, meaning occupational therapy takes a more holistic approach to treatment. The main focus is occupation. Using a clients occupations an occupational therapist can work with them to develop a plan and work towards a goal.
