My thoughts on theory

My thoughts on the article "Putting OT Theory Into Action: Knowing and Applying Frames of Reference"...

This article as a whole gives me confidence in starting my journey as an occupational therapist. The idea of theories and being able to follow frames of reference is a practice I hope becomes apart of my identity as a therapist and sticks with me throughout my entire career, unlike some of the therapist mentioned in the article. I liked how the author,  Lynne Oberle, provided case examples of how using frames of reference can alter a clients treatment path for the better. From class and this article, I really like the PEO model. As evidenced from the title of the method, it takes into account the person, the environment, and the occupation. Using these three components, a therapist can create a treatment plan for a client to achieve an occupational performance.
