Rachel, I really enjoyed hearing about your experience in acute care. I'm glad that you mentioned treatment sessions in this setting. I was curious about the process of deciding who receives treatment sessions in addition to an initial evaluation from OT in acute care. It's great that you are so aware of what you need to work on before your level 2 fieldwork. I also want to feel more confident in my knowledge of billing and reimbursement by the time we leave for fieldwork.
Rachel, Because we both were placed at the same acute care setting, I'm glad to hear that our experiences there were similar. Acute care is a different world compared to a lot of other settings and it is helpful that you got to dip your toes in the water before being placed there for a level 2. My first level 2 will be in an inpatient rehab facility, so like you I think I need to brush up on pathology and medical terminology to ensure the best experience possible. Can't wait to reunite when we're back on campus. Thanks for sharing!
